At first the illusion dominates, but it is shattered as the viewer moves through the gallery space. The subject plays an active role in the spectacle of trompe l'oeil. The way the textual objects are perceived depends on one's movement through the gallery, and three static positions: two at the entrance, and one in the corner between the suspended words. The role of anamorphic perspective in the project is fully revealed when the subject occupies this space between what appears and the real. Thus spatial perception is explored as a concept by revealing the intrinsic duality of the perspectival system of projection.
