The labyrinth leads into the space of the gallery. Constricting and redirecting movement, obstructing the view, and generally disorienting the audience it creates a unique experience that challenges the relationship between objects and subjects in a gallery. By extending entry to the gallery, the labyrinth encourages the audience to suspend preconceived notions about art.

The perceived disordering of movement is achieved by a structure of a simplified modular nature - the installation is based in plan on the greek meander pattern. It is both metaphor and manifestation of postmodern thought, including references to rituals of art consumption. The walls of the passage are inscribed with thread, drawing textual and material parallels between the labyrinth, anamorphosis, and language.
