of Diagrams and Process instructor: Paul Preissner
Spurred by a day-long charette with UNstudio's Christian Veddeler, this project involved the production of process diagrams in Maya and Rhinoceros as generators of formal effects. Working with Matthew Vander Ploeg, we produced multiple iterations of form within nine procedural categories: three devoted to each Line, Plane, and Volume manipulations. We divided the work equally, but maintained contributing to each others' progress with advice and ideas; one of the plane models was collaboratively developed by passing the file back and forth.
This project was eventually elaborated into the deesign of the East St. Louis pavilions.
